Coming Home to the Body As Temple
In Summer 2025, I traveled to southern France to study Sacred Body Awakening with mystic and somatic practitioner Aletheia Pistis Sophia, who developed this temple art as a living remembrance of how priestesses once tended one another in sacred space. Rooted in somatic spirituality, Sacred Body Awakening is a full-body temple honoring offered in triads, where one person is held, witnessed, and lovingly tended through conscious touch, breath, and presence while the others serve as devoted attendants.
This work invites us to soften the armoring created by trauma and patriarchy, restore trust in the body, and awaken the deep feminine wisdom encoded in our flesh. In my practice, I now offer Sacred Body Awakening as both an educational and experiential journey—an invitation to step into a modern temple, remember your inherent holiness, and receive the kind of reverent, embodied care that priestesses once offered each other in the sanctuaries of old.

There are two ways to engage with this work in the local Portland area:
In-person group gatherings happen once a month at a local studio in Portland. These gatherings are an opportunity to be introduced to the modality, learn how it works, and experience healing in a supportive container with other sisters. These gatherings are for women and persons who identify strongly with their femme energy, as well as non-binary and genderfluid persons who are leaning into embodying their feminine energies.
Sacred Body Awakening private sessions are held at a private studio in Portland. You have the choice of being held in a container with one facilitator or two, and these sessions offer the opportunity to go deeper with the modality than you can in the group setting. Private sessions can be booked below.
